About Aimee Maude Sims

Aimee Maude Sims is the founder and CEO of NuWine Press, a publishing company that aims to provide fresh perspectives on the Christian faith that do not alienate any of Christ’s followers based on gender, ability, race, political affiliation or sexual orientation. She holds a B.S. In Political Science and Urban Affairs from Barnard College, and a M.S. In Journalism from The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. She managed a staff of editorial assistants on the National Desk of The Associated Press, editing and compiling news fixtures, writing book reviews, podcasts, video spots and world/gospel industry music articles for nearly a decade. She’s interviewed such Gospel legends as Kirk Franklin, Cece Winans, Vickie Winans, John P. Kee, Tonex, Regina Belle, J Moss, Marvin Sapp, and others. She is currently musical director at The Potter’s House Church of the Living God and freelancing as a Web designer, editor and music instructor.

    I didn’t know your undergraduate degree was in Political Science! Welcome to The Club. What exactly did you learn about Urban Affairs?

  2. Lot’s of theoretical stuff about why poverty and all it’s attendant diseases persist. Most of those theories got mixed into the lyrics of Rhythms of Aqua songs 🙂
